Improv Yourself Therapy
Heal Through Action, Creativity, and Community
About Improv Yourself Therapy
Improv Yourself Therapy is a group mental health practice founded by Jessica Westover, LMFT, and Ariel Mooney, LCSW. We combine evidence-based group therapy with improv-based experiential activities to help people build confidence, overcome social anxiety, strengthen relationships, and feel more comfortable being themselves. Our innovative approach recognizes that healing can happen through action, creativity, and community—not just talk.
Unlike traditional improv classes, our therapist-led mental health groups are designed to help clients practice flexibility, self-compassion, vulnerability, communication, and authentic connection in a safe, supportive environment. Through laughter, connection, and taking small risks together, participants discover their capacity for growth and learn to become more authentically themselves. We believe that therapy doesn’t have to be serious to be transformative.
